Kill all the lawyers by William Shakespeare!
There's been many more negative critics on the up coming ATG films than positive and the films aren't even finished or started. What happened to the let's keep this a friendly forum attitude, that was said by one of the moderators? This reminds me of a kangaroo court during Shakespeare's time almost everyone is being found guilty of something before these films are released. I haven't noticed horse shoes on the horses or covered saddles but I might not be looking hard enough and lets not forget Athena gave the bit to the Greeks as a gift, yea right, if you believe that I got some beach front property in NW Montana I'd love to sell you. I been trying to get info on any carbon dating on an ancient bit in one museum on antiquities but so far no response. I would not be surprised if there were crude forms of ancient bits but I believe they were few and far between of course I could be wrong, I find myself being corrected often these days. Any who, I'm very optimistic on these films being made and I can't wait until they're finished and released. Can't we all think positive? Probably not but that's what democracy's are all about.
Re: Kill all the lawyers by William Shakespeare!
Greetings Andrew,
Don't worry- everyone will probably go see it and, despite the errors and mistakes, love it all the same, whether as an epic, a heroic adventure,or a bio pic . Movies, like books, tend to come in for more than their share of pre-release critique- but we all still go!Regarding bits, I do not have access to my materials now, but I tend to side with the pro-bits scenario, if only because close examination of statuary seems to allow for the placement of bits or metal objects to signify bits- from what I gather, these have long since corroded away, but the drilled holes remain.
I am sending another person on the Forum some close- up shots and hope to get their comment soon. I would like to include these with the article on Pothos, so everyone would have an opportunity to contribute ideas.
Also, what was the age of those Scythian bits that were relatively recently dug up? I hate not being able to bring up the info at the moment but I am away from my resources. I'll try to retrieve it, if you are interested. I think the crescent bits used in the movie are directly from the Persian horses on the Mosaic, are they not? But it looks like the bits on the Makedonian horses differ.. Regards,
Sikander
