Well it is very presious and important for not publish it . Second photo. Alexander as King and kind of saint , in the church of St Demetrios (16 cent.Ortodox) near Aigai .
THE DEDICATORY INSCRIPTION :
''Who made this work i cannot tell you .
God knows - He who knows the depths of the heart
If any man offers a donation to the church he will have
God and the martyr Saint Demetrios as protectors
It was painted on the wall during the month of April by
the humble and siniful Nicolaos from the (village ) of Linotopi
Completed in the month of May in the year 1570 on the thirteenth of
Indiction
PS1 ''WHO MADE THIS WORK I CANNOT TELL YOU '' : perhaps because Greece in the 16 cent. was under the Ottoman Dominion
2 The original inscription is ''ΖΟΗ'' that is (7078) ab urbe condita ,to us : 1570

Interesting links thank you !The ''unknown artist '' is Nicolaos from Linotopi .. In the link i published ,there is an extensive article by Manolis Andronikos who first read and published the inscription when he was young .
