Philotas' last words

Massimo writes that Philotas' yelled "Alalai" at his execution just as the arrows pierced his heart. I can hear the roll of his tongue, but I wonder whether there is any historical basis for this assertion?

No, but this is a verbal representation of the war cry of the Macedonians going into battle.

Yes, I believe this was the Macedonian war cry.

Yiannis, we had the same feeling. For me his last words were 'aaaaiiii', portuguese transln for something like 'ouch'.

Hi Ruth I'm back after my exams. I started to read Your book and it's just great. This is very professional. I will write something more after reading all what You've sended to me and sorry that I didn't answered for so long on Your e-mail.
About Philotas last words - I have never found a word in books but maybe I read it to long ago so I have to refresh my informations.
