A quick question

Post by dean »

Hello,

Reading the first chapter of Robin Lane Fox's book he speaks about the sources that we have at the moment and also mentions we have a letter from Alexander which we know beyond doubt to be genuine,

Would this be the letter to Arisotle when Alexander gets angry for his having taught to ordinary students the same things he learned at Mieza?

Thanks to anyone who may be able to confirm this for me.

Letter to the Chians

Post by karen »

No, it's a letter he wrote in 332 to the citizens of Chios re accepting back their exiles.

It's here -- http://www.csad.ox.ac.uk/Chios/Alexander.html

Warmly,
Karen
