For all you writers around here.

http://www.empireofashes.invisionzone.com/Above is a link to a literary website. All the writing and storylines take place in the years shortly after Alexander the Great perished. We've taken a lot of creative liberties in the interest of making the story-telling our own, and in addition we are trying to be as historically accurate as possible but we are allowing the "history" and events to unfold as we dictate them. In a way you could call it an "alternate history" story where we dictate what the altercations are.So I'd like to give you all an open invitation to come write with us! With all of this communities knowledge of the era, I know any member of this site would be a great asset to our own.Thank you for your consideration, and I urge you to at least take a look.

I took a peek and will check it out more later. Problem is for me, that's precisely the historical period I am writing about and I don't like risking being 'influenced' by what others have written about it. Looks interesting, though.

Hey thanks for just looking. I'll be forward about the fact that this site is just for fun. It's all about story-telling. I got involved knowing nothing more than Alexanders name (though I've learned a lot in a short period of time). Part of the reason I came here is in hopes that one of you would come teach me more!So when you're done writing what ever it is you're writing in the time period, I'd love to see you join us over there and flex your creative muscles.I appreciate your compliments of the place though. Take it easy! ^_^

Hi Iseult, I read the novel Empire of Ashes. Nicholas Nicastro is the author of that book. Is he associated with this website? I also took a look and found it most interesting. Thanks for bringing it to Pothos.

I wouldn't say he's associated with the site. We contacted him when we made it asking permission to use the name. He dropped in and looked about, thought it was cool, and said "sure go ahead!" He does have an account there, but I haven't seen him do any writing. We could boast something special if he did though. ^_~Anyway, thanks for checking us out! It's my pleasure bringing this to Pothos. I hope to see some writers emerge!
