Don't know who said it, but the saying goes, "He who leads, should serve all first." Did Alexander fit the mold?

I think that King Poros said something similar, although i dont remember exactly, but it was something that Alexander didnt quite like. Alexander wasnt exactly the model of how a King should be.He was more interested in military aspects.But generally he did a nice job running the empire.And he was surely generous to everyone.
