Looking for Richard

Post by dean »

Hello,Just been enjoying the documentary made by good old Al Pacino, regarding the work of Shakespeare based on Richard III.In the final act- the battle of Bosworth, where he says, "My kingdom for a horse," the film was seen through a red filter- which reminded me a lot of Hydaspes scene in the the Alexander movie by StoneExcellent documentary by the way...Best regards,
Dean.

I've never seen "Looking for Richard", although I hear it's very good (and, liking both Pacino and Shakespeare, it ought to be!).I couldn't decide whether I liked the filter effect in the AtG film, but it was certainly striking. I shall have to look out for the Pacino film and see what I think about Bosworth (the battle thereof, not A.B.Bosworth the Alexander historian). ATBMarcus
