Well, it will be interesting to see what you think. Some Pothosians think Burton was good (largely because of his marvellous voice) while others think he was terrible (not least because he was too old and hardly athletic). The weighting of the story is curious (a criticism that could equally be levelled at Stone's film); and the set design was ... interesting. On the other hand it gave us much more of Darius (an excellent Harry Andrewes) than Stone's film!All the bestMarcus

I hated it back then and I hated it even more when I saw it in recent years. The sets are hokey, Burton (though he's a magnificent actor in other things) simply didn't fit the part. A big disappointment.
