Re: picture
I suppose pictures of standing Alexanders in armor are rare. And speaking about the face: the best, most life-like portrait is the Azara bust (http://www.livius.org/aj-al/alexander/alexander_z8.html ). If this is a portrait you like, just drop me a line, and I will send you the full files (2 MB).Jona
Re: picture
The only contemporary representation of Alexander in full armor is the Porus medallion. Unfortunately, it is of poor quality. In addition to the Azara Herm, the Aboukir Medallion is a good representation of Alexander. It and the Azara strongly resemble the Stag Hunt Mosaic.See Alexanderama (look it up in google) for lots of pics. It was created and maintained by Tim, one of our Forum members.Best art book on Alexander out there is Faces of Power by Andrew Stewart.Regards,Tre
Re: picture
I guess I'm not the only one to print and frame that kind of picture. I never thought of t-shirts. Maybe we need some Pothos t's.lightofdawn

Sounds fantastic, Kenny! So, if I see a motocyclist zooming past me on the M42, with pictures of Alexander emblazoned over his leathers ... it'll be you?CheersMarcus

Marcus Respect. Not that ill be up that way, but yes a silver Triumph Daytona 600 with a Union flag painted over the front fairing.I may even haver gone to far I bought a Ancient war helmet plume and attatched it to my helmet,,, My next inovation is to attach some kind of Macedonian Skirt to the leatrher trousers,, lets say in distinctive.
