razzies And Oscars
Hail CompanionsWith regards to Razzies and Oscars,, To be honest its relaitive,, To individual Tastes and not at all representative!Ok Alexander was not a very good movie and a shame a better movie was not made about opuir great man,,, But at the same time its not for a lot of snooty stuffed shirts to say it was rubbish. As a movie particullay Troy if you pull away from homer it was entertaining with excitement good battle scenes and a one on one,,, Alexander a little less as there was too much talk and Ptolemy trying to squeeze his diaries into 2 hours.Yet at the same time we get The Oscar clowns which are in no way relative constantly dragging antiques and over long movies with cryptic messages for us to watch.Over the years there have been huge hollywood blockbusters ignored by these clowns in exchange for movies they would call chiq. Its totally unrepresentative of the viewers who vote with there bums on seats,,, Its fare to say I wont watch any of the oscar movies as to me they are borring,,, But as I said its relative just cause I think that dont mean its a razzie. These Hollywood boys seem to like pulling out the old war horses and ythey whole gang Stand with ovations when they come out with walking sticks or Zimmer,,, No disrespect but the Oscar club is nothing more than a group of backroom boys smoking Cigars with a young chick on there knees picking out borring movies that Hardly any one will watch.Am I been cynical here.Colin Farrel is a good actor and to be honest a real person one of the lads,,, And maybe with this label he would always get some stick,,, Richard Burton was nominated for & Oscars and won none maybe for the same reasons,, Im sure if he lived to 80 hed have got a patranizing oscar for playing maybe an old train spotter.John Wayne only won an oscar when he was nearly dead and the number of classic movies he made is countless.Kenny

You should try to see the Aviator. It is not boring at all. It is really reminiscent of a great old Hollywood movie, The Grand Hotel. It is simply unbelievable to see that Leonardo di Caprio is a credibly great actor after all. He is so good in this film that halfway through you begin to really believe in him and think of him as Hughes, and his speech before Congress made everyone in the audience cheer! This and Sideways gets audience reaction. It is really worth seeing!

As I've said before...talk is cheap, challenge one of those critics to make a movie, and suddenly their opinions will change. The votes for the academy are bought.
