With Reflection to the swords and weapons used in the movie.Recently I bought one of the Swords Alexander has in the Movia sa an Ornament.when It arrived it just amaized me the weight of these things and waht evenrgy was neaded to wave one of them about and kill with them,, They are not light nor ballanced in away of A samurai sword so very difficult to wave about and a realisation what it took to kill with them.In the movies its all clean clinically acrobatic killing,,, When you feel these things you understand it to be brutal butchery,,, Swinging them in all directions basically fighting for your life!Collins must have been plastic or made from lighter material,,, The sword in the movie looks very oriental and un Greek like which isnt out of reason as Alexander may have prefered thge scimitar type of blade.Kenny

Hi Kenny,I think the sword to which you refer was a Kopis (also known as Machaira), a single edged recurved slashing sword used by the ancient greeks. Mr Stone did do some homework courtesy of Robin Lane Fox.Kit
