Persian palace

Post by canto »

I was wondering if there is any source that can help one visualize what a Persian palace looked like. To know the colors, what it would be like to walk through it and out into the gardens. How were the inner chambers lit at night? And in the day how would the light of the sun come in? I would love to know as much detail as possible. Perhaps one of the books already talked about would have it?I found some beautiful screen savers at Persepolis.com, I especially love the paintings by Ostad Mahmoud Farshchian, and there are wonderful photos of Persepolis ruins, the exposures and resolutions are very good.
