A question for Jona
In the north west of Yasuj, between the cities of Dehdasht and Pataveh ( or between Persian and Susian gates, according this map of your website: http://www.livius.org/a/iran/persian_ga ... ad_map.gif ), there is the oldest and largest Achaemenid bridge which is called "Takht-e Shah Neshin" (Dais of the Throne), the interesting thing is that the Persian masons' marks in Persepolis can be seen in this hexagonal bridge too but it is said Persians had to pay passage to Kissis (Uxians) when they wanted to cross this bridge!Anyway have you visited this bridge, do you know anything about it?
Re: A question for Jona
Thanks, Cyrus. I have not been there, but I will be in Yasuj on 10/11 January. Perhaps there is time to visit the site; it depends a bit on the group I am travelling with.BTW, I am in Tehran on 2-3 January and on the evening of 15 January, and I am trying to make an appointment with Yiannis too. Perhaps we can find a moment and place where we meet. A Greek, an Iranian, a Dutchman: Alexander creates the unity of mankind after all.Jona
Re: A question for Jona
I don't suggest that you go there, the snow has already covered Tehran and it seems this winter we will have very cold weather, especially in Yasuj and its surrounding cities which are famous as cold cities.Meanwhile Yiannis has left Iran for Christmas holidays and I think he will come back here on 5th January.
Re: A question for Jona
Ha! I am still coming (I already booked) and am looking forward to snow in Yasuj - it is also mentioned by Curtius Rufus, so my new pictures will be perfect. And besides, Holland will be just as cold as Iran, I expect, so it does not really matter.Jona

Welcome to Iran, I said it just about just the dangerous situation of the roads!
