Old version of Arrian or Curtius
Does anyone have,or know of, a copy of Arrian or Curtius that was translated about 100 years ago? I'm looking for a version that is outside copyright so that I can use it in a database.Susan

Hello Susan, are you looking something like this? You are welcome to it, if you don't have it.Arrian on Alexander[ Arrian, The Anabasis of Alexander, together with the Indica, E. J. Chinnock, tr. (London: George Bell and Sons, 1893), bk. vii. ]

Hi Pela
Yes, that would be ideal. I've been making a web-based database of Alexander sources ; so far I've got Plutarch, Justin, Diodorus and various less important sources - but Arrian's Anabasis is not yet online, and copyright laws apply to the newer Penguin version so I can't scan it in. I should have it ready in the next month, and I'll post a link on Pothos.I'll send you my address by e-mail.Best RegardsSusan
