Alexander in India in Military History Magazine

Thanks to Ajax, I was informed of the Alexander in India article which is in the current issue of Military History magazine. As my yahoo site is blocked today, John, I thought I would let you know that I finally have read the article, and learned of the background of the author. I like the author for his giving us some books to read on the subject matter. The glossy pictures are great as there is one by Lovett along with other illustrations.Along with that, I happened to find another article on Alexander in March, 2000, issue of National Geographic. That article is written by Caroline Alexander, and like most articles on Alexander, full of her particular pov.The real reason to purchase the magazines would be for the illustrations rather than the hard copy. Enjoy!

Just to make a note about the Alexander in India article in this month's Military History, alongside with that article is a story about the capture of Major Andre during the American Revolution. My hometown in Ohio was named for one of the captors, Issac Van Wart, and it is called Van Wert. I think it rather interesting that a story on Issac Van Wart is in the same issue as one on Alexander in his battle with King Porus.
