Jeff had said that Stone couldn't have a movie without an orgy, so apparently the first scenes from the magazine depict that set design. I just had to make certain that you would see it, as I find it a bit amusing.I have also been doing some research on the twelve altars erected on the Beas River (Hyphasis) and found the best link for that: http://www. united macedonians.org/macedonia/stefov25.html.It is chapter 8 on Alexander. It actually has a paragraph detailing some of the specifics about the building of the altars. (In my mind, I am associating them with the WTC in their destruction.)This particular article has made me realize why it is that I am so interested in them. The specifics are quite exact and meaningful for me. 12 x 17.I tried the Bridgeman website but didn't find anything.Thanks,Jan

Hi Jan,I had a quick look on the Bridgeman site. They don't appear to have the painting I was thinking of, although there were quite a few paintings of Alexander and Diogenes. I am intrigued, however, because it sounds as if the article you mention gives a lot more detail than we can possibly know from the sources. Unless, that is, the writer has made suppositions based on what we know about engineering and building techniques elsewhere? This is my own supposition, of course, because I couldn't get to the article itself. Oops!All the bestMarcus
