Congratulations to Maciek
I don't write here often - but wanted to pass on these congratulations to a forumer who just earned a higher degree - with a thesis on Alexander. The message received at All Empires March 2nd is as follows:Quote:

It was a lot of work but really reading and writing about ancient is great pleasure.
My "thesis" (we call it work in polish was on 120 pages and it was all to prove that Alexander's aim wasn't any drunken dream or passion for treasury. There is too much evidences for it that's why I had to fill so many pages.
The main part was three middle subchapters concluded in chapter "Dream of united world". I think it is all clear what that means...One of my important points was a letter published in last century. This letter was examined by very good polish historian M. Plezia which was almost certain that letter is original. It was sent in 330 BC from Aristotele to Alexander. Two years ago it was published in Poland for the first time so I was lucky because I could used it and it was very new in here.
