Koran
Excuse My ignorance Companions.I have not read the Muslim Holy book the Koran, but does any one actually know what it says about Alexander and how many times does he get mentiond, and how do muslims view my king.It took me all on to read the bible, only to see what it was about, no offence to christians but a collection of stories to lift and give hope to an oppressed people, at a time of ignorance.Excuse my blasphemy, I respect beliefs but not religion, people call Alexander a despot tyranical war monger, but on reflection I believe more people have died in the name of religion than under Alexanders command.Lord of the rings 3 entitled the return of the king, throughout history was there ever only one real noble king.I bought a chess set in Greece with Alexander Issus as the pieces, but really Alexander cant play chess as in chess the king is weak and needs protecting and the queen all powerful, still the pieses are beautiful and the king does look great.Well companions and friends its nearly that time of year again, I wish you all a great christmas and that the new year is good to you all.We have the movie to look foreward too and, I keep waiting for his tomb to be found, then Ill know if he was poisoned. All the bestAlexes desciple
Re: Koran
I'm sure people are familiar
with the Michael Wood film and
the quote read from the Koran in
Gaza. It figures that the 6th century
Arab 'prophet' would claim that ATG
was a creation of Allah..The sad thing is that intelligent men
actually believe the rubbish in this
comic as verbatim...

Greetings Pat,
At some point people will learn that you can disagree with and even reject any or all of the information, whether the Quran, the Bible, the Torah and Talmud, the pagan texts, the eastern texts et al while still following rules of civility that allow for human dignity, difference and the need for guidance outside oneself. Aside from that, these texts give a starting point to many people into history, so they still retain a valid function in that regard.
Regards,
Sikander
