continued... (sorry previous post got messed up!)So Alexander got himself connected to Ammon Ra (Egyptian sun god) and therefore to Zeus (greek sun god) via the dynasty's sun symbol... An inscription in Egypt reads: "Alexander is king of the south and north, chosen of Amun, and beloved of the sun-god Ra, son of the sun, lord of rising". Great semiotics wouldn't you agree? Umberto Eco could write another book on this:-)
