Lion-headed ring/ Zeus enthroned. Yes I've read both descriptions, but perhaps it was in Renault. Anyway, like her I am writing 'fiction' based on history so I can speculate. Who really knows anyhow?

In addition to (Amyntoros), Augustus wore an effigy of Alexander on his signet ring, when Augustus broke Alexander's nose, (oops! I will place this back were it belongs!) he was asked, "would you like to see the tombs of the PtolemyGÇÖs?" Augustus replied in one way or another, "I came to see a king! Not dead people!" If there was a ring it was definitely stolen!

Another consideration on the point of Philip Arraidos is that if the tomb in Vergina is Alexander's half-brother and NOT Philip II, his father, then perhaps one of the rings (weren't there several?) may have belonged to Alexander, as is speculated some of the armor there may have been as well. And yet more ponderings for us Alexander scholars. Ugh. Wolfie
