mystery

Post by garyeweedman »

I remember hearing that Alexander would get the generals together after a battle to review what had happened and that this meeting was called, "musthrion," i.e. "mystery" in Greek--some like "debriefing" or "strategy." HOwever, for the life of me, I can't find the reference in any of the histories. Any suggestions?

Sounds like something from a fiction book and you won't find it in the sources, or at least I can't remember reading it, but of course it makes good common sense that their would be a meeting both before and after the battle with his primary commanders and bodyguard.
