Macedonian, or is it Byzantine, intrigue...

Post by marcus »

Further to all the discussion about Jared Leto (still don't know who he is) playing Hephaistion in Stone's Alexander film, I have just found out that, apparently, the role was originally offered to Brad Pitt... who was persuaded to turn it down by Jennifer Aniston because she thought it would be bad for his image. After seeing some pictures of him in his "Troy" costume, I fail to see how his image could be further 'damaged' by his playing Hephaistion. Still, this is all thanks to the gossip columns, so I shall take it with a bit of a pinch of salt! All the bestMarcus

Probably had more to do with Colin Farrell getting top billing rather than the role itself :-)

...yep, Brad should have been ATG. There is no actor better suited for the role working today.

hellomy opinion is brad too skinny. however aniston would have been perfect in the film dont you reckon? (any film that is) hehe.im probably telling you something you know however i dont think there is anyone who can play alexanders role. i think di caprio with say, 10 kilos and a good 6 months training in the gymnsium to make him look like a conquerer, would be more suitable for this leading role.cheerssteve
