Thanks. They don't mention how tiny the tesserae of this mosaic are - maybe 1 cm square - when a lot of other tesserae are about 1inch square. Must have made the mosaic extremely expensive.

I went to Naples last Easter, with the specific intention of having a good old look at the mosaic ... only to find that it was still undergoing restoration. Grrr! I believe it is back in place in the museum, now. Otherwise I would have been able to give some sort of answer about the size of the tesserae!
