The sacking of Thebes - Kathleen Toohey

Kathleen has posted another essay in her series examining the make up of Alexander's army here https://www.academia.edu/s/c54deeae90. In order to comment or see the discussions, I believe you need to log into academia.edu and follow Kathleen.

Some interesting points in the essay, including the notion that some of the pezhetairoi units (sarissa bearing soldiers) may have been acting as specialist hypaspists (heavy infantry).
