I've already confessed in some other topic, that even after looking upon all the portraits available (numerous busts, sculptures and mosaic) i still have a very remote understanding of Alexander's appearance. Yes, those characteristics are definitely there, Tre, as you mentioned (though i'm not sure about "thick" lips and bad hair's day, lol ;) - come on, give the guy a break, at least he shaved regularly!!!! ;))but they still don't come together in my sub-concience... There's no clear image...But maybe that's the part of the mystery and what makes Alexander such an fascinating person. We judge him according to those bits of data we were fortunate to recieve after more then 2000 years. And even his appearance is elusive...The available facts:
He was young, handsome (Arrian), had a fair complexion with rudiness on cheeks and chest, lionine hair?, left side head incline, melting glance (Plutarch), short (a couple of sources).... Er-r-r.. What else?

Hi Clementina,Of course you can... but it depends on where you're based - I'm stuck in London, so it depends on whether you're in England, Brazil (or anywhere else, for that matter!).All the bestMarcus

Dear Anna,Thanks for your posts. To be perfectly honest with you, to me, Alexander's life is just one big mosaic and I have only just begun to put to the first few pieces into place.Best wishes,
Dean.
