Salt tears...

On the subject of quotes about Alexander, I just have to repeat this fantastic effort from Sid Waddell, the darts commentator:
"When Alexander of Macedonia was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer. Eric Bristow is 27."

Excellent - the image of Eric Bristow in a Macedonian cuirass, with the horns of Ammon on his head (or perhaps a lion skin in emulation of Heracles)......surely Boukephalos would buckle under the weight?:-)Marcus
