Thanks but I've just registered there.What I notice about the biog of Antipater are the errors; surely his father was Iollas like his son, the alleged poisoner; Antipater must have been too old for being taught by Aristotle; he certainly never suceeded to the kingship he was the Guardian of the Kings (Arrhidaeus and Alexander IV not Herakles!) which is what you'd expect from the Suda.His writings are interesting The Deeds of Perdikkas in Illyria would concern one of the Argead King's campaigns against the Illyrians. The two volumes of letters were probably fake correspondance with Alexander.All the same the Suda is useful for its notes on the lost historians I think most of the details we have come from there
When you think about, it free-choice is the only possible option.

Marcus, you are incorrigible! Y'all can call me what you want on the Forum and pull what weapons of history you can skewer me with with, but it better have to do with schlarship and not nationality, or I will pull a Hannibal and take off before it gets really ugly .You must have enjoyed "Gladiator"
