Greetings,
Has anyone read Stoneman's new book, "Alexander the Great: A Life in Legend" yet?
It is supposed to be a collection of the myths that grew around Alexander over the centuries.
It sounds like a good book to have in the library shelf, but could anyone comment? Does it offer a solid collection of the myths into one text or ??
Regards,
Sikander

Re: Stoneman's new book
I got it a while ago and read it. Yes, it's pretty good, but it doesn't really comprise a digest of all the various legends associated with Alexander. It is quite academic, which is fine; but it would have been rather nice had it contained a proper compendium of the stories.sikander wrote:Greetings,
