Campaign Maps

Post by jay sultan »

I am new to the study of Alexander. I am reading the Fox history, but I would like a companion resource of campaign maps - I am having trouble with Fox'es maps or the reprinting of them. Can anyone recommend a good resource for the campaign and political maps of the time?

Hello Jay,I don't know of any major resource for maps of Alexander's campaigns, but perhaps the following websites will help a little.A very large old map of Alexander's Empire from Susan Holmes' site:http://websfor.org/alexander/maps/intro.aspA nice page of maps including some of individual campaigns that Jona Lendering and Jan ter Haar had designed for Jona's book.http://www.livius.org/aj-al/alexander/a ... ps.htmlAnd, to supplement, some general maps of the ancient Greek world:http://plato-dialogues.org/tools/mapindex.htmBest regards,Amyntoros
