Boy, Kenny, you are right about the statues. I could not agree more, and the cave drawings were simply awful! I did notice one thing in the Burton movie early on that really got me that reminded me of Daniel of France2 fame when he had a scene in the Louvre exactly like this scene in the Burton movie. A man's buttocks naked and bare, and I got the idea right now, but it made me flashback to Daniel. thanks for the memories...there is a connection I am positive now.

G'Day is right. I found that Mega aussie shampoo at Walgreen's yesterday and thought of Kenny and his web address. I thought then of all the Aussie gentleman who are studying Alexander too, so sure happy to find evidence of that here.Haven't bought the mega shampoo yet though. But will as it was on sale!Sporting clean hair today, Alberto V instead of Mega, I am reminded of the movie Shampoo with Warren Beatty, speaking of movies.I could not agree more that celluloid history is not a fair appraisal of history. If Kenny did get my post to his mega address I have already spoken my piece on historians versus participants in the war retelling old stories, and probably should keep my mouth shut about it.My uncle served in WWII, and was stationed in Sicily, but would not ever tell anyone about anything that happened in the war, as it was so traumatic. So I often wonder about those who do tell war stories. He just passed away and was given military honors at his funeral. He is my connection to the Masons that got me into the George Washington Masonic Temple in Alexandria, Virginia. Just to let you know where I am coming from here in the states.I met an aussie trolley driver here in Arizona who had been a newsman for Australian t.v. I have a special fondness for people I have met from Australia. Jan

G'day Jan!Bloody good to hear that with respect to your views of Aussies you've met."I thought then of all the Aussie gentleman who are studying Alexander too, so sure happy to find evidence of that here."If that line includes my good self, I am going to have to work on that irascible, irreverent "Badian" or "Bosworthian" bent to my posts! Been a while since I've been referred to as a "gentleman". Must say that in my three visits to the US over the decades I can return the compliment. Love the country (particularly the "high deserts" in Arizona and New York City) and the people are often just the most friendly and helpful. The bank clerk in Louisville KY who asked me for my account (at that particular bank) so as to cash travelers cheques was a concern though! As was the amount of USD I left at Kentucky Downs on a Derby winner that patently was not.Just on Aussies, Ernst Badian (who I think is from the Land of the Long White Cloud GÇô New Zealand) has letters from Macqaurie University here in Sydney. Possibly explains some of his outlook??Merry bloody Christmas all and GÇô if you can find it GÇô swallow a Wirra Wirra "The Angelus", as fine an Aussie cabsav as has been bottled. Good for those of us from a Roman Catholic background: a prayer you can drink!!
