The thread where we were discussing Phocion etc. has got too long and it won't allow me to post a new message, so here's a continuation ...You might be interested to know that TODAY is, in fact, the reputed anniversary of the death of Phocion, in 317BC. Hello Marcus, thanks for that info. How interesting that I should be so involved in writing about him at this very moment! I noticed the thread was expanding and because it's a rather intersting subject and connected to Macedonia/Alex I was hoping to get further responses. By the way, I was glad to know he died in 317 because I think (according to my research???) Polyperchon went to meet with him in 318 and after that they sentenced him to death. A most amazing character!
