The Seventh Wonder

Post by Cyrus »

Many historians have mentioned the Palace of Cyrus the Great as the seventh wonder of the world and it was around the 6th Century AD that for some unkown reasons the Lighthouse of Alexandria was replaced it!Anyway the Great Palace of Cyrus was discovered three years ago in the south west of Persepolis near the city of Borazjan in a region called Charkhab, Archaeologists are still working in this area and the palace has not been unearthed completely yet but the news about it are really interesting.

Astonishing mortarless architecture of Palace of Cyrus the Great in Charkhab: http://www.mehrnews.ir/en/NewsDetail.aspx?NewsID=159276

Hi Cyrus,Thank you, as always.(I have to say, having looked at other stories on that site, that I was even more interested to learn that Saddam Hussein spent $14m on surgery for Uday after the failed assassination attempt in 19-- (whenever it was). :-))All the bestMarcus
