In opposition to many American critics, I think that the movie is very beautiful and interesting for our ancient history.
Alexander's figure is so well interpretated by Colin Farrell. Also Olympia is very well represented by actress.
One of the best scenery is Gaugamela battle. Oliver Stone is a very good director.

I noticed yesterday that the film has taken just some -ú2 million in the UK, and is disappearing rapidly from the charts. I confess I haven't seen it yet. I've been put off by the dreadful reviews, and will wait for dvd. At least then I can leave the room as often as I want. Good to know you enjoyed it though.
