Anyone read this book? Its by Nicholas Nicastro and supposed to be about Alexander. I saw it at the store today and wondered if I should buy it.

Hello KiriI haven't read this book but I have noticed a lot of new "Alexander" books which were obviously written to cash in on the interest the movie may generate. Have you checked our book reviews section? You may find some books you would be interested in listed there.Cheers

Hi Kiri,I found a synopsis of the book:"323 B.C. The great Alexander is dead. Machon-the late emperor's renowned friend and ally-is being scapegoated for his downfall. An outsider on trial for his life, Machon will tell his Greek accusers the stunning, tragic truth behind the meteoric rise and fall of a peerless military leader who proclaimed himself a god-and lost his humanity."It doesn't sound very inspiring. There's better reading elsewhere as Halil said. If you do read it, please let us all know how it is.Lois
