Alexander's New Look

Post by jona »

Dear all,Of course I am only posting this because, ahem, I am mentioned myself - but, apart from the fact that it appeals to my vanity, there's perhaps something to be found in this week's issue of the U.S. News & World Report:http://www.usnews.com/usnews/issue/0411 ... ex.htmJona

HI Jona, this is a great article. Thanks for posting and congrats for being mentioned on the first page! Very interesting article that makes me wonder about why it is that so few movies have ever been made on the subject matter. Since I found a windows setup in the mall yesterday right next to Dillard's, I asked the girl to show me the ifilm clips which show a few scenes from the movie, and reminded her that the movie started from my meeting with Angel, a saleslady, at Dillard's where my introduction to Alexander began. Small world, isn't it?Angel had lived in Alexandria, Egypt, and is the woman who tipped me off to Alexander so that I began reading about him in a book by Arthur Weigall. Never fails...next thing you know, a movie! Can't wait for the others to go into production too. From behind the Red Curtain! the Burhman group.Always,Jan

hi jona, well you just broke my heart. here i am thinking that atg wanted to reunite darius with his women folk for the sheer joy of a reunion and you think it was only political. i want to think only the best of atg, don't you think that he wanted a family reunion just for the joy of being loved? tina rollsrie

Sorry to break your heart. But perhaps the two interpretations are not mutually exclusive. People can have more than one motive for one act at the same time.Jona
