hi all,
I believe i read where Ptolmey ATG's close friend and general when wrtting his memoirs says that he was born out of wedlock and his father was King Philip Alexander's mortal father! Is there any truth to this?

There is no evidence for this. It is most likely that Ptolemy started this story when he took over Egypt after Alexander's death - 'proving' such a link to Alexander was designed to give Ptolemy legitimacy in his rule.
