I remember your post, Andrew, though it's probably a good thing to have a reminder here as not everyone visits the forum regularly, and on occasion there's been such a flurry of activity that some threads have been pushed into the archives within a couple of days. Not that *I'm* likely to forget the History Channel show - most of the buses and shelters here in NYC are now carrying banners with the "He wasn't Alexander the Spineless" promotion. And talking of promotions - I'm reminded of an ad campaign on the buses and billboards a year(?) ago. It gave no information and simply said, "Warrior! Conqueror! Lover!" No, it wasn't an extremely early ad for Stone's, film. Subsequently, they put up new posters with more info - it was for the TV mini-series on Attila the Hun! :-)

Well, apparently I did miss your post, but I forgot to put on a link to the other show about the filming, but at the risk of repeating something you may have already posted, I'll assume you've told everyone about that one.

Andrew - you have no need to apologize to me! You reminded us on the forum that you had posted this information previously. My thought was that it is good to see a reminder here about the program as the date draws nearer. And that's all there was to it! Okay... there was a little bit more from my side, seeing as I babbled on a bit about a semi-related subject. :-)All the best,Linda Ann

More to the point, did you ever *see* the Attila mini-series? They released it on video over here in the UK, and I happened to pick it up for rental. I was pleasantly surprised at the historicity of it (more than 30%), but they were all such *gentlemen*! (OK, so Attila might have had an unfair press from the Romans, but he wasn't a Boy Scout, that's for sure!).It was quite fun, though, and the scenery was lovely. All the bestMarcus

Oh, I saw it! Made Attila seem like quite an attractive and somewhat sympathetic fellow, didn't they? :-) Though I admittedly haven't read that much about him, everything I did read pointed to him having died in his sleep, probably from a nosebleed. And yet here in this TV version he was poisoned by his new wife. The entertainment industry just won't allow anyone to die in their beds! Linda Ann
