Real Persians protested against Oliver Stone
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/cms. ... ortunately the dangerous religion of Islam has occupied our mind in Iran and our leaders just think about nuclear weapons for destroying non-muslims countries! In this condition, does our Persian Identity matter?!

I'm more intrigued as to why the Zoroastrians believe the symbol has been misused. If the modern symbol is the same as that which symbolised the Achaemenid dynasty, then what's wrong with showing it as Darius' symbol?Still, the movie's going to bring everyone out of the woodwork, so I'm hardly surprised! All the bestMarcus

Thanks for sharing this. I found it intersting that they protest the use of the winged god symbol. I doubt that all Parsis share this thought...at least a couple who I know wouldn't. In fact, the use of the symbol might lead to more interest and understanding of Zoroasterism. ruthaki

Controversy is the fuel that feeds the movie profits, isn't it? And doesn't Oliver love controversy?
