By Nyay BhushanNEW DELHI, India (Hollywood Reporter) - The embroidered robes in "Troy," the props and flags in Oliver Stone's "Alexander the Great," the intricate embroidery on the 400-meter stage curtain in the upcoming "The Phantom of the Opera" -- all came from Rangarsons, a family-run business located in New Delhi's central business district."There's more on the website - the company also did something for Gladiator, but Stone's movie seems to be the only one which used them for all the props.Best regards,Linda Ann

Re: Trailer for Oliver Stone's Alexander
Thanks for that. I guess I don't have a very clear idea what the palaces should have, or is likely to have, looked like. This looked like a harem of fevered 19th C western imagination. And a woman's nexcklace...well, he did dress up as a goddess (reputedly). In The LOTR:ROTK ( I saw on DVD recently), Theobald's tent looked like I would imagine Alexander's...- skins on the floor etc. His "dress" tent, rather than campaigning one.Re: mullets, Stone has said he see Alexander and the Macedonians as kind of Celtic brigands - and as we know from Rob Roy and Braveheart, they always have crap hair.
Re: A minority report...
I loved the trailer for Troy, but was disappointed by the movie. For me, it lacked something and the something, I think, was tragedy of Achilles. While Brad Pitt did a good job of beefing up to look the part, the script gave him nowhere to go with it.
