Hi John,Sounds as if you've amassed quite a collection! I wish I could say I have half as much as you (I don't think I'd go for a tattoo, though). My only real pieces of memorabilia I have (apart from a good library) are a tetradrachm and a drachm, both of which are purportedly from Alexander's own reign, but which might be slightly later. I love 'em! I do have a nice, 19th century map of the Persian/Macedonian empire, too...All the bestMarcus

I had a ring with an Alexander face from a very old coin, but it got stolen just before I left for Greece this year (Sad, because it was a gift from my dear friend Roberto who had died the year previously. I replaced it this year but it isn't so nice. It's a copy of a coin which I think was distributed by Lysemakos. I also bought some souvenier kind of stuff at Vergina this year. And of course I have some other memorabilia (souveniers) including t-shirts, ceramics, and other tacky Alexander things which I love!

My best souvenire is nice quite large medalion with Alex on the one side and macedonian sun on another. It is stylised as old. Well I'm thinking about buying tetratrahma (or drchma anyway) but I'm waiting now when my budget will grow up a little but nothing like this happen...Regards

I have the Mosiac everywhere, on my Wallpaper for my computer and about 12 copies of it at home. I also carry a 100 Drachma Greek coin from 2000 (last time I was there) to remind me of my own child Alexander more so then ATG. I don't suppose he counts too, if so then he is my favourite piece of Alexander Memoerabilia.

My son's name is Roman Alexander...I didn't come up with his first name, but it goes good with Alexander and the whole classical historical thing, so I agreed to it...beyond that, all I have is this cool Alexander the Great tee-shirt picked up in Delphi in '98. I still wear it all the time! He's posing naked (view from behind), holding a shield and spear (in throwing motion) with carnage all around him in the midst of some battle.
