Vizier?

No. In both the Persian and Macedonian royal successions some degree of blood relationship to the royal family normally had to be established.Also, I seem to recall that under the Persians at least the Vizier was often a eunuch!? It was very unlikely that any monarch would have taken the risk of appointing a blood relative as Vizier.We don't really know what Alexander intended when he appointed Hephastion to the resurrected post! regardsKit
