Hi Companions -I was just checking the Showcase - New Books. I just want to remind all of you that the release of Oliver Stone's movie in December 2004 presents a unique opportunity for all of us to get things published or released. Publishers would like to take a ride on the attention that the movie will get. This chance to get commercial businesses interested in Alexander is the first since the discovery of the Vergina Tombs back in the late 70s.A fine timetable would be: December 2003 - get your deal done with a publisher on the basis of a good synopsis and excerpts. June 2004 - have the complete document ready. December 2004 - enjoy the ride.(I am still contemplating on a Dutch children's book myself. I would like to call it "The Follower" - about a young boy who is very eager to become a servant in the Macedonian army - and years later he returns as a young man to the rural village he once left on his insane adventure.)Best regards -

I like the sound of your book idea, but could you keep it short enough for one book? Sounds like a series to me.

Nick, you are so right. It's time to ride the wave. I've planned on putting an advert in a newspaper and magazine at the same time the promos are released. Your advice is spot-on.
