I have been a blue salmon,
I have been a dog, a stag, a
roebuck on the mountain,
A stock, a spade, and axe in the hand,
A stallion, a bull, a buck...

I was with my lord in the heavens
When Lucifer fell into the depths of hell;
I carried a banner before Alexander;
I know the stars' names from the
north to the south,

I was in the fort of Gwydion,
In the Tetragrammaton...

This poetry is generally attributed to the sixth-century poet Taliesin,...
'The Quest for Merlin' by Nikolai Tolstoy. and is about the shape-shifting powers of the poet. Interesting though that Alexander is still famous and known about in what used to be called the Dark Ages of Britain.

In darkest times, turn to a beacon of light, of hope. Alexander is a man of the people, a man for the people :D (excluding tyre, malia, indian mercenaries, etc)
