Most scholars concur that July 20th (Loios)is ATG's day of birth. And having stated that, I shall announce it again . He's 2,359 years old on this date of 20 July, 2003.Kala GenEthlia, Alexandros Philippou Argiadis;

Sometime today, we should all light a candle, pour a drink into the earth, look at the stars in the night sky and think of our long-dead king - and also think of Hephaestion too.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's 2,358, not 2,359, since you don't count the year 0; the timeline jumps from 1 BCE to 1 ACE.John

John... I think that once one gets to one's 2,000th birthday, adding or subtracting another year doesn't matter too much.

(But you are right, if rather pedantic... )All the bestMarcus

Oh, yes ATG was eloquently commemorated!! You had to have been there to hear how supremely he was commemorated...I was beyond thrilled!!! ATG was included in the sermon surrounding "What happened on July 20th in history": (1) Elijah the Prophet remembered, (2) ATG's birthday, (3) the invasion of Crete, and (4)Men on the Moon. When ATG was discussed he was highly honored. Made my day!! Were you celebrating his birthday and could not make it that morning? I toasted a glass of wine to him, poured a little in the ground, and lifted the remaining to the stars. It was a great idea of Susan's, and I followed along with it.Cheers!Amazon Queen
