Lost city of Alexander the Great is found in Iraq using US spy footage of the area captured in the 1960s
The Iraqi settlement, Qalatga Darband, was surveyed using drone footage
It is on the route Alexander the Great took to attack Darius III of Persia in 331 BC
The city he founded was believed to be a meeting point between East and West
Using drone footage, experts found buildings hidden beneath fields of crops
The city has an abundance of terracotta roof tiles and Greek and Roman statues
