Alexander Alphabet

Companions !
Judging by recent postings on this forum, people obviously have lots of energy to discuss and debate the details of Alexander's life and times, so we want to channel it into building a collection of minor characters to add to the site. The major characters have sections to themselves, but the minor don't and hopefully we can build it into a useful reference place for visitors. What we propose is: We work through the alphabet, and every two weeks or so we post a list of new characters, starting with a particular letter, and ask people to volunteer to write a short article about them - just a couple of paragraphs with brief biographical details, not a long essay. If you can put together a simple family tree, that would be nice.
Then you can e-mail them to us ( Susan - susan@shcs.net or Marcus - pailing@knowledge-power.com ) and we will put them onto a new section on the site.
So, for example,
A is forGǪ Ada of Caria
Alexander of Epiros Alexander of Lynkestis Amyntas, son of Andromenes Amyntas, son of Perdikkas Antigonos Monopthalmos Antipater, regent of Makedonia Aristander of Telmessos Arridaios, brother of Alexander Artabazos Attalos, son of Andromenes Attalos, uncle of Kleopatra/Eurydike
An example might be: Alexander of Epiros was Olympias' brother. He became king of Epiros ?342; it was at his wedding to Cleopatra, Alexander's sister and his niece, that Philip II was assassinated. He died in battle in Italy in 331-330 BC. He had two children by Cleopatra Or:
Antigonos Monophthalmus (Antigonos the One-Eyed)
An older Macedonian, born about 380, appointed satrap of Phrygia in 334/333BC. After Issus he defeated remnants of Persian army in three battles. Important player in the wars of the successors - father of Demetrios Poliorcetes. Died at the battle of Ipsus in 301BC. So, if you're willing , let's get going on the A's
