Yesterday browsed upcomingmovies.com and found an interesting new information about the movie O.Stone). There is one other actor in talks - Sir A. Hopkins- as Ptolemy... I think this is a rather bad choice, because he is far too old for this role...

Hi Sandra,Yes, Hopkins does appear to have signed up as Ptolemy and, as you say, he is a bit old.However, the good news is that he appears to be taking the role of the old Ptolemy, we assume in a narrator's role, looking back on his/Alexander's life. A younger actor (as yet uncast?) will play Ptolemy as a young man.All the bestMarcus
