Iksander X once posted that book reviews were to be submitted to philoalexandros@hotmail.com. Is that correct, and is there a book review form to follow in posting a book review. The book in question had been the trilogy of books by Manfredi. Thanks!

I have just finnished reading the manfredi books. I found them rather interesting. Do you think manfredi potrayed alexander in a fair way? I think that The Alexander in the novel seems to be to detached from other people.

Yes, that is correct. There is no book review form, but if you look at the ones already on the site, you will be able to see the usual format.RegardsSusan

Hi Dave, I believe he wrote the trilogy as a basis for a movie script. Many of the scenes struck me as very Hollywood. I don't know if he was fair to Alexander for it seems that one is either his friend or his adversary. His version of Alexander gives Alexander a lot of credit for his ability to think his strategy through before its execution. It is amazing to realize how accomplished a warrior he is for such a young man. Manfredi gave him credit for his intellect and his educational development. How much credit should Aristotle have for all of Alexander's accomplishments is more than I can ever know. As Alexander is his father's child, being a warrior king, and Aristotle is a philosopher, it seems that Aristotle is only lightly influential. One can only marvel at Alexander's genius! I liked the way Manfredi treated the women, especially Queen Ada. In that episode, he is more than fair.

I found Manfredi's book in the purgatory section, and noticed the comment on "in-depth" so that is why I wanted to submit a comment. Thanks so much.

Thanks, Nick. Where would I send it if I write it? Do you have a special e-mail address?
