Hello,
can someone give me an approximation of the distance that Alexander and the boys covered until his death.Just looking at a map of his trip it looks like thousands of miles.
Thankyou,
Dean

Hi Dean -The answer is quite simple. Both Don Engels and Dodge have made calculations of Alexander's marches and march rates. Engels does not give a grand total. Dodge does: 21.900 miles. But his calculations are over a century old and might be ripe for some revision?Regards -
Nick

Hello Nick,
Cheers for the info, maybe when I get a little more time I will have to get out a map and try to do it myself if you think that it is up for revision.
All the best,
Dean.
