UK Programme on Alexandria

There was another programme on last night in the "Lost Worlds" series (the same one as the Persepolis programme last week). This time it was about Alexandria (although I think it was about some Roman, rather than Hellenistic, remains.Did anyone see it... and if so, was it any good? I did video it but I am so busy at the moment I need to know if it's worth trying to find the time to watch it!All the bestMarcus

I managed to find the time to watch it in the end last night and I think I agree with you. I loved the bit where they took the cast of the inscription from the underwater stone!What irritated me a bit (as it did with the Persepolis programme) was the way that they kept repeating what was going on - clearly aimed at the attention deficient audience! Still, it's the Etruscans next week, whom I know absolutely nothing about - so that should be fun.All the bestMarcus
